What we collect
- Receipt and invoice photos you upload, and the structured data extracted from them (merchant, date, totals, line items).
- Account details, only if you register: email address, optional username, and a hashed password (or your Google account email if you use Google sign-in). Accounts are optional the app works anonymously via a device-generated install ID.
- Usage analytics (page views, button clicks, API usage, JS errors, and device info such as browser, OS, and screen size). IP addresses are stored only as one-way hashes; your raw IP is never persisted. All data stays on our own self-hosted infrastructure and is not shared with third parties.
- Session recordings of in-app activity (self-hosted; everything you type is masked out).
- A session cookie if you sign in (HttpOnly, used only to keep you signed in).
How it's processed and stored
- Uploaded photos are processed by our own in-house extraction pipeline: a vision-language (AI) model reads each document, once per request, to extract its fields. Results are then checked by our software before you see them.
- Images and results are stored in Google Cloud Storage. Account data is stored in a dedicated database file in the same region.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't use your receipts to train models.
- We don't share your data with anyone except the infrastructure providers above, as needed to run the service.
Your controls
- You can delete individual receipts in the app at any time.
- To delete your account and all associated data, email us and we'll remove it.
