Receipt in.
Checked numbers out.
You didn't become a bookkeeper to re-add receipts by hand. We read every line item and check the math before anything reaches your books.
- 95%exact subtotals on everyday receipts
- 94.2%character accuracy vs 61.1% for older tools
- Line items always included
- Free to start, no card needed
30 seconds, end to end: your first receipt, done right.
How it works
- 1
Snap or upload
Crumpled, faded or folded in a pocket. All fine.
- 2
We read it ourselves
Your photo never leaves our machines.
- 3
You get checked numbers
Every line item, with the math checked. If something doesn't add up we flag it for you instead of letting it slip through.
Any crumpled receipt or invoice: actual results from real uploads.
Read here. Your photo never leaves.
Proof, not promises
- Every result is checked before you see it. If a total doesn't add up, it gets flagged for your review; it never just slips through.
- In our own benchmarks, the line items add up to the printed subtotal 86.4% of the time; anything else gets flagged for your review, never passed through.
- Receipts are read by SnapReceipt itself, on our own secure systems. They never go to anyone else.
- Real scores on public sets of receipts, measured with our published scoring methodology, not a polished demo.
- The older tools are graded on the very same receipts, so it's a fair fight.
- We show everything, including the numbers we're still working to improve.
Numbers read exactly right
Share of receipts where each number came out exactly right
How these numbers were measured: two public sets of receipts: 193 labeled everyday scans, and the harder CORD v2 test set. “Older reading tools” means Tesseract with rule-based parsing, graded on the very same receipts with the same published scoring method.
The harder test scans are where we're still improving: we read 70-75% of the numbers exactly right there, against the older tools' 5-22%. Reading the whole receipt, every character (not just the totals), came out at 94.2% versus 61.1%.

"I built SnapReceipt because every capture tool I tried dropped the line items, and the ones that didn't charged me per client. So here's the deal: every number you get comes with the math to back it up or it gets flagged for you to look at, instead of landing in your books."
Priced for firms with many small clients
The incumbents are built around per-client seats or credit multipliers. If your clients are small, that math punishes you twice.

Questions, answered plainly
The things accountants ask before they try it.
What is SnapReceipt?
SnapReceipt is a receipt and invoice capture tool. You photograph or upload a document, and AI reads it: supplier, date, tax, total, and every line item. Before you see a result, SnapReceipt re-checks the arithmetic: line items must sum to the printed subtotal, and subtotal plus tax must equal the total. Results that fail a check are flagged for your review instead of passing silently into your books.
How accurate is the extraction?
We publish exact-match benchmarks on public receipt datasets, with the methodology attached: on everyday receipts we read the subtotal exactly right 95% of the time and the total 92% of the time; on a harder public test set of crumpled, low-contrast scans, 75% and 70%, and tax 70%. Whole-receipt transcription character accuracy is 94.2%, versus 61.1% for Tesseract-based tools graded on the same receipts. We don't claim 99% accuracy. We publish reproducible numbers, and every single result gets self-checked.
What does it cost?
The Free plan includes 10 lifetime AI extractions and unlimited manual entry. Pro is US$12 per month for unlimited AI extraction. Line items are always included, with no per-line-item multiplier, no per-client minimum, and no per-user seat fee.
Do I need an account to use it?
Yes. The app is private, so every receipt stays tied to your account. Signing up is free with your email or a Google login, no card needed. The Free plan gives you 10 AI extractions and unlimited manual entry.
Can I cancel Pro?
Anytime you like. Pro is US$12 a month with no contract: open the settings page in the app, manage your subscription and cancel there. Your account drops back to the Free plan, and every receipt and history entry stays put.
Does it work with QuickBooks or Xero?
QuickBooks and Xero sync are in development and marked coming soon on the pricing card; that is exactly what we will claim until they ship. Android and iOS apps are also in development. The web app works today.
Where do my documents go?
Documents are read by SnapReceipt's own pipeline running on SnapReceipt's own infrastructure, and images are stored in SnapReceipt's own cloud storage. Client documents are never sent to third-party document-AI services. The API is hosted in Hong Kong.
Does it check GST and ABNs?
Yes. Tax amounts are validated against known GST/VAT rates for AUD, NZD, GBP, SGD, and IDR receipts, and Australian receipts get their ABN verified against the public Australian Business Register.
Who is SnapReceipt for?
Accountants and bookkeeping firms, especially solo bookkeepers and small firms carrying many small clients. Pricing is per document rather than per client seat, so light-usage clients don't pay for a full seat the way per-client tools charge.
